Candidate Business Questionnaire

Just about every candidate for the state legislature will claim to support policies that will help foster a strong economic climate and job creation. However, some will nonetheless advocate or vote for policies that would in fact do just the opposite, resulting in profound financial or logistical hardships for the businesses in their district.

To find out what Ohio General Assembly candidates really think about important issues affecting employers and their employees, Ohio’s major business trade associations created a joint candidate questionnaire. The combined membership of these four organizations includes more than 50,000 employers with hundreds of thousands of Ohio employees.

This questionnaire has been distributed to each of the candidates that filed to run for the Ohio House or Senate in 2008, and the responses of those who completed and returned this survey are posted here. These responses should be valuable to you as you seek to educate yourself and others about the candidates seeking to represent you in Columbus.
